NFTs for A Good Cause
In an effort to contribute to the greater good, MUDA is launching its first CSR initiative. Our first project is the creation of digital goats for the upcoming Eid celebrations. We are working with several farmers to create help them sell their livestock online as NFTs. The NFTs will represent real Goats, sheep and Cows, each NFTs will be directly linked to a particular animal.
We are contributing our skills to provide an opportunity for Ugandan farmers to sell their livestock globally in order to increase their sales during this tough economic time. All the meat from animals that are sold through this project will be distributed to the less fortunate members of the community ahead of the Eid celebrations. We have taken good care to ensure we work with farmers that employ good farming practices in a bid to promote sustainable agriculture and animal welfare.
A percentage of the proceeds will also be used to raise funds to complete the construction of the Karambi primary school which is community based school in the city of fort portal in western Uganda. The school currently provides free education to 124 students, 34 of which are Orphans.
